About
Mission & Vision
Software has a real, measurable energy footprint, and most teams have no accurate way to see it. EcoCode exists to change that: it reads a machine's actual hardware power sensors, CPU, GPU, and memory, rather than estimating from manufacturer specs, so that researchers, engineers, and students can see exactly what their code costs to run.
Our vision is a world where energy efficiency is treated as a first-class engineering metric, alongside speed and accuracy, especially as machine learning workloads keep growing. By making high-precision, multi-GPU energy monitoring free and open source, we want to make sustainable software development the easy default, not an afterthought.
